FAQ
What are the compensation arrangements for the loss of inward e-Express+ items (whose item numbers are generally prefixed with the letter L)?
- In the event that an item is lost during the course of delivery, the enquiry should be made by the sender to the postal administration of the origin.
- If an item is confirmed lost, the postal administration of the origin may, where applicable, arrange compensation for the sender in accordance with its terms and conditions of the corresponding service. The postal administration of the origin will handle the case in accordance with the Universal Postal Convention or any relevant agreements duly signed with the destination’s postal administration. In general, Hongkong Post will only make arrangements with the postal administration of the origin according to the aforesaid Convention or agreements and shall not be held liable to any other person for any loss of postal items.
- To facilitate follow-up on the mail status, local addressees are recommended to request their senders to raise enquiries or claims (if applicable) with the postal administration of the origin.
