Special stamp issue - "Hong Kong Delicacies"

Hongkong Post today (August 13) announced that a set of stamps with a theme entitled "Hong Kong Delicacies" will be released for sale together with associated philatelic products on August 30.

Renowned as the culinary capital of Asia, Hong Kong offers distinctive local delicacies that are relished by both food lovers at home and visitors from abroad. Hongkong Post is issuing a set of four stamps to showcase some of the city's all-time local favourites, with a view to promoting our unique and colourful food culture around the world. The set of four stamps features different mouth-watering delicacies, including egg tarts and milk tea, wonton noodles, roast goose and fresh seafood. The images of Chinese and Western tableware in the background of the souvenir sheet complement the theme.

Official First Day Covers will be on sale at $1 each at all post offices from August 16 while the stamps and associated philatelic products will be displayed at the General Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, Tsuen Wan Post Office and Sha Tin Central Post Office from the same day. Advance orders for servicing self-provided covers will be accepted at all philatelic offices from August 16 to 22. Further information is available on Hongkong Post's website at www.hongkongpost.com and the Hongkong Post Mobile App.
