This set of stamps is designed by Mr. LI Shik-kwong, Ken. The stamps and $10 Stamp Sheetlet are printed in lithography plus spot varnishing, whilst the $20 Stamp Sheetlet is printed in lithography plus holographic 3D foil with micro embossing by Joh. Enschedé B.V. of the Netherlands.

A hand-back date-stamping service using the office steel date-stamp and the special postmark will be provided on 17 March 2015 at all post offices for official/privately-made covers bearing the first day of issue indication and a local address. All philatelic offices will also provide hand-back datestamping service using the “Philatelic Bureau” pictorial postmark and the philatelic office pictorial postmark concurrently, but the GPO-1 date-stamp will only be available at the General Post Office.
A cachet for “Astronomical Phenomena” will also be introduced. Application of the cachet will be available at all philatelic offices and the Hong Kong Space Museum from 17 March to 4 April 2015.
The public hall of the Hongkong Post Philatelic Bureau will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on 17 March 2015 to provide date-stamping service using the “Philatelic Bureau” pictorial postmark and the special postmark.
