Hongkong Post has launched a new single account, “Hongkong Post ID”, for customers to enjoy easy access to all online services of Hongkong Post (i.e. EC-Ship, My SpeedPost, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost) via an integrated platform, bringing them the convenience of using one single “Hongkong Post ID” account for all of our online services.
Step 1: Click the “Register” link on the Hongkong Post website

Step 3: After successfully submitting the registration form, log in for access to online services
How to register for a “Hongkong Post ID” (PDF)
Step 1: Enter your login name on the login page of the online service
Step 2: The system will remind you to register for a new “Hongkong Post ID” and upgrade your existing online service account to the new “Hongkong Post ID”
Step 3: Select “Upgrade Now” or “Decide Later”
Step 4: Enter the password of your existing online service account for authentication
Step 5: Information in the profile of existing online service account will be transferred to that of “Hongkong Post ID”
Step 6: Upon completion of upgrading, you can log in with your “Hongkong Post ID” for various online services. If you have accounts of any other online services at the same time, you can log in to these accounts and enter your login names and passwords for authentication and this will enable you to link them to your “Hongkong Post ID”, so that you can enjoy the convenience of using one single “Hongkong Post ID” account to for all online services of Hongkong Post.

Ans: Customers who would use the Hongkong Post’s online services (including EC-Ship*, My Speedpost*, Hongkong Post Circular Service and ShopThruPost#) are required to register for the new “Hongkong Post ID” accounts, which enable them to access all of our online services through a single account.
*Remark: Holders of EC-Ship sub-accounts and My Speedpost user accounts are not required to register for a new “Hongkong Post ID”.
Ans: The use of “Hongkong Post ID” allows you to access all our online services through a single account. With just a few simple steps, you can upgrade your existing online service accounts to the “Hongkong Post ID” and log in with the original login names and passwords. Ans: You can choose to keep using the existing online service accounts rather than the new “Hongkong Post ID” to access the respective services during the interim period. Upon the expiry of the interim period (i.e. 1 March 2020), all customers must use the “Hongkong Post ID” to log in for our online services. Original accounts which have not yet been upgraded will be retained. You will be reminded of upgrading to the “Hongkong Post ID” in your next login for access to our online services.

Ans: For security reasons, “Hongkong Post ID” account will be locked after five cumulative unsuccessful login attempts. You can unlock the account by resetting the password. Please refer to Question 8 below for the instruction.

Ans: Each “Hongkong Post ID” can be linked with one EC-Ship account*, one My Speedpost account*, one Hongkong Post Circular Service account and one ShopThruPost account.

Ans: No, it won’t. Records associated with your original accounts will be retained.
Ans: Yes, you can. When you register for the “Hongkong Post ID”, select the option “Yes, I have an online service account” and enter the existing login name and password of that account for authentication. Upon successful authentication, you can use its login name and password to register for your “Hongkong Post ID”.
Ans: For security reasons, the time limit for a login session is 8 hours. An alert will pop up 30 minutes before reaching the time limit. Once it reaches the time limit, the system will log you out automatically. If you wish to continue, you have to log in again.
Ans: No, it won’t. The launch of “Hongkong Post ID” will have no impact on existing API accounts under EC-Ship and My Speedpost and holders of which can continue to use the login name and password of their original accounts.
