An e-Express Service, covering packages up to 2 kg in weight, was launched between Hong Kong and the United States in April 2011. The service offers user-friendly features such as online mail tracking and delivery confirmation. In collaboration with the United States Postal Service (USPS), we have developed data-rich shipping labels using bar-codes that are readable by both postal administrations. Senders can check the latest delivery status of their packets online.
The service, originally launched in 2010 for use by a limited community of mailers, was made available to the general public in September 2011, providing a one-stop solution to facilitate the posting preparation for online purchases. The service supports the posting of registered air mail, air parcels, Speedpost and e-Express items to the US. Customers can prepare shipping labels, view posting history and make online payments for postage using credit cards. The service speeds up counter operations and shortens customer waiting time.
