Assistant Manager (Facility Management)
(Around $350,000 per annum + gratuity)
Major responsibilities:
- To assist in overseeing all property and facility management-related activities and upkeeping the serviceability of facilities/machines in the Hongkong Post Building and the Central Mail Centre;
- To assist in conducting routine patrol and inspection on facilities to identify the need for maintenance, refurbishment and improvement;
- To assist in planning and procuring facilities management related activities which include cleansing, security and maintenance services, etc. for the operation of the Hongkong Post Building and the Central Mail Centre in accordance with the prescribed procurement regulations of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
- To supervise and monitor the performance of the service contractors in accordance with the contractual terms and to ensure that their performance meets the required standards;
- To assist in the procurement of equipment and services related to the building and operation systems in the Hongkong Post Building and the Central Mail Centre; and
- To assist in maintaining the safety standard of the systems in the Hongkong Post Building and the Central Mail Centre and enhancing occupational safety and health in the workplace.
Requirements:
- A recognised Hong Kong Higher Diploma/Professional Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Property Management/Facilities Management, or equivalent;
- A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification work experience in housing/property management, and preferably a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Housing (HKIH), the Property and Facility Management Division of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) or the Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management (HKIFM);
- Level 2 (Grade E before 2007) or above in both Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B before 2007) in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent;
- Good verbal and written communication skills and high proficiency in computer usage;
- Good organisation, analytical, interpersonal, project planning/project management skills;
- Meticulous, able to work independently and demonstrates the qualities of a committed and self-motivated team player; and
- Preference will be given to candidates with property management experience on a purpose-built facility.
Terms of appointment:
- 2-year contract;
- Monthly salary $25,050;
- Discretionary performance pay up to about 1 month’s salary in every six months;
- 14 days’ annual leave; and
- Gratuity payable plus Hongkong Post’s MPF contributions equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
